Environment of Celestia
Celestia is a relatively new world in the early stages of it’s geological evolution. It has only been a few million years since their was only one real landmass, a single super continent. Since that time three major continents have formed from the remains of the super continent and geological activity is still quite high. In particular the areas inbetween the three major continents is extremely active, though since this area is filled with ocean waters much of this activity occurs underwater. It should also be noted that most of the mountain ranges are fairly new features and so they are far less weathered than those of an older world like Earth.
It also has a higher than average oxygen content in the air, which is perfect for the development of certain types of life. Less CO2 exists in the atmosphere as well, which should make the world colder than Earth. However it happens to be somewhat closer to the sun than earth and so is actually slightly warmer than one would expect. In fact it’s notable for it’s small artic zones, which means most of the planets water is actually invested in the oceans. The oceans themselves occupy about 70% of the planets surface.
