İlahi İmparatorluğu, or the “Divine Empire” in their native tongue, is a empire built on trade with their neighbors.
Once upon a time the nation was instead an alliance of desert tribes. These tribes did considerable trading with the various groups of people both within and bordering on the alev ulaşır desert. Eventually they formalized this alliance and formed the first nation around the various oasis spots and constructed cities, leaving their nomadic life at least partly behind.
One of their neighbors was a small tropical kingdom called Tamajim and through a marriage between the ruling tribe of the İlahi to the ruling family of Tamajin the two nations merged. This laid the foundations for all later expansions. It also helped that the priestly ‘sciences’ of the Tamajin included access to ancient science. Within a few generations this created the first Havai Fişek or Artificiers and provided access to new weapons, armors, and even the basis for certain vehicles.
This merger also marked the formation of their religion that would be carried down through the ages. From that point onward the nation grew and merged with its neighbors when needed. It even had a few open wars with rival would-be empires in it’s area, all of which it won. The final name of the empire is even directly related to their religion and so was established from this point on.
Their religion is called " The Path ", and unlike most religions it has no true ‘priests’ or ‘clerics’ to spread it’s word. Instead it is the religion they all participate in and is spread socially. All the temples of the Path are community projects and open public spaces. Holy Warriors, Scholars, and Artificiers are often the strongest advocates of the religion.
“The Path” can probably best be described as a philosophy, as their are no specific deities, gods, or spirits involved. Instead it has teachings meant to better the followers life and even a codified set of ‘laws’ to follow. The philoshy is heavy on ritual including fasting on certain “holy” days, daily meditation, and even habits that are enforced. The codified law is typically called “Yöntem”, الطريق, “The Way”, or even “The Way of the Path”. (Mechanically, in game terms, anyone who follows The Path may take Discipline of Faith: The Path and a Code of Honor: Yöntem to represent the ideals of their faith)
Politics and Government
A council of families is the primary form of government, each area is governed by a particular family and each family sends one member to the council. The council picks a ‘warlord’ or kumandan who typically holds special authority in times of great stress, such as war, and holds a central seat on the council itself.
Their spoken form of the nation is called “trade speak” and has a written form that can be written in ‘roman characters’. However the common written language looks like ‘arabic’ (العربية) and is used everywhere internally.
İlahi İmparatorluğu is situated on the southern continent with the majority of nation either in the koyu renkli ahşap tropical region and the alev ulaşır desert. However it also has certain regions of steppes and savannahs. The coldest regions are simply ‘temperate’.
Due to the tropical and desert climate general clothing is fairly sparse, most commonly consisting of a vest top and a pair of shorts. Short tops and ‘tank’ tops are also common, as are short skirts and capris.
